Great Hotel, but...

This is the fifth time we have stayed at Cosa Camper. This is a great hotel. The staff is most helpful. The location is great and the rooms and hotel are very clean and quiet. But there are noticeable changes. Breakfast is no longer included. They now charge $24 per person for what was always included. I am not sure that $48 per couple is worth the convenience of eating in the hotel. There are several restaurants nearby that offer breakfast for considerably less. The other change is Archy the bartender is no longer there. Aside from making great cocktails he also provided information about the hotel and the city. He is a big loss for the hotel.

Barcelona’s Best!!

Travelling to a new city in a new country can be daunting. One of the first experiences is usually your hotel. When we arrived, it’s as if the travel god just said, “I got you”. This place is amazing. Every aspect was perfect. The service, fantastic, location, perfect, room, exceeded expectation, and the amenities are exceptional. The included breakfast was so good. Wait staff are super friendly, helpful and courteous. When we checked in, the front desk was attentive, thorough and explained everything in detail. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Great hotel and location

The hotel’s location is superb, and the staff are friendly and eager to assist. We opted for the breakfast package, which proved to be a convenient and enjoyable choice. The food was of high quality, and a highlight of the stay was the complimentary snack area available throughout the day. I would certainly stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

Great hotel a couple blocks off La Rambla

We stayed at Casa Camper for 3 nights prior to a cruise and loved the property. We had a Camper City King Suite. Room was very large with a couch, two chairs, and small balcony. Bathroom was large, clean, and had a rainfall shower head with very good water flow. The 24-hour, complimentary snack area was well stocked with sandwiches, small salads, snacks, and beverages. The rooftop terrace and honesty bar were a great place to unwind at the end of a long day of touring while still taking in the sounds of the city. We will definitely be booking this hotel when we return to Barcelona.

5 Star Experience

From the moment we arrived the staff was incredible! Friendly, helpful and classy! They helped us with all of our sight seeing questions and reservations. We had a room and a half ( cool design with a hammock/ quirky & cool). The top deck with an honor bar is a nice amenity and was used! The breakfast is fantastic and absolutely delicious! Everything about our stay was 5 star treatment! The location was walkable to everything! ( we got our steps in)

Very nice hotel

Spent one night at the hotel on the way to hike Costa Brava. Stayed in a suite at the end of the hall. The room was clean and comfortable. The layout was a bit strange but wasn't an issue. There was a hammock in the living area which we really didn't use. The hotel is located just a couple blocks off the very busy Las Ramblas which was nice. There is an honor bar on the roof which is very pleasant.

Above and beyond in Barcelona

Casa Camper was excellent. Excellent customer service, amazing amenities, neat and clean room, fantastic location. Only a one night stay before a cruise, but I would definitely return when in Barcelona. I highly recommend this wonderful hotel.

Staff + location = value for your money

Great service - kind and generous - and a perfect location: Close to the Gothic quarter but on the other side of La Rambla so Camper City King Suite Room it is very quiet, despite the central location. The free snack bar from midday on was very nice and with the coffee and croissants available on the roof terrace in the morning, compensated for not having coffee making facilities in the room or a mini-bar (there is also breakfast, which we chose not to take). Altogether, not cheap but well worth the money. The staff were very nice and helpful. We stayed at Camper City King Suite Room - it's a room not a suite, but very spacious - so we don't know how comfortable are the smaller rooms.

One of my favorite hotels, and not just in Barcelona

It's hard to imagine a hotel with a better location, atmosphere and service than Casa Camper in Barcelona. A small hotel located on a beautiful side street near La Rambla and close to Placa Catalunya, the hotel itself is small so you get very personalized service. The front desk staff is friendly, very helpful and offers great recommendations for local, non-touristy dining. We had 3 dinners in Barcelona in restaurants recommended by the front desk and they were great. We also used a tour company for a day trip to Montserrat recommended by the staff, and the trip was excellent. Being a small hotel, we only met a few people at the front desk during our stay , all of whom were great, The hotel is not a traditional, chain type hotel. It has a unique personality of it's own. Our room was large with a french balcony overlooking a side street. The hotel offers breakfast for a nominal charge and there are complimentary drinks and snacks throughout the day. The rooftop terrace is amazing and provides a great place to relax for a while when you need a break from exploring this beautiful vibrant city. Casa Camper is one of my favorite hotels and I will definitely stay there again in the future when I return to Barcelona. I hesitate to recommend the hotel despite this review, only because I want to selfishly keep it as one of Barcelona's best kept secrets!

Just perfect!

Absolutely fabulous stay at Casa Camper. The staff was so friendly and wonderful! Our room was beautiful and quiet. The location is perfect and so charming. We were so happy with everything!! The beautiful rooftop was just so nice to retreat to after a long day of site seeing. We were so thrilled with this lovely hotel and amazing staff.

GREAT HOTEL

Hotel is very centrally located, near Las Ramblas, Plaza de Cataluña, Barcelona Cathedral, Gothic Quarter (Barrio Gotico) and many restaurants, although Barcelona is far behind the rest of Spain in terms of food. Our room was huge and comfortable although it lacked proper illumination and a refrigerator, but the hotel provides free snacks, coffee and drinks (no alcohol) the whole day. There is also an honest bar on the hotel terrace. Breakfast is served to order with fresh squeezed orange juice. Front desk is friendly and very helpful as well as the breakfast and snacks service. We will come back to Casa Camper. Thank you very much!!

Loved it!

Loved the service the front desk was very helpful in arranging Transportation. The service was great at breakfast in-house as well as the lunch boxes and the Rooftop was great for the honor bar and sitting back, relaxing and enjoying the view. The room was very comfortable. loved the shower. It has a great location close to La Rambla. Had a great time Thanks to all Jim & Shar

The Perfect Barcelona Hotel

A small boutique hotel that was more than we had hoped for. The location can't be beat - we walked EVERYWHERE from here. The rooms are great - efficient and comfortable. The separate room for lounging (private) had a hammock - which my husband made use of on the first day for a nap. It also had a little Juliet balcony overlooking our street - it was adorable. Shower and amenities were great. The hotel staff was courteous and attentive. Love the snack bar and roof "honesty" bar. We would come back here in a heartbeat.

Best Location with Five Star Service

My wife and I spent seven nights at this hotel in October, the hotel is centrally located steps away from La Ramblas, Plaza Catalunya, the Gothic Quarter, a myriad of excellent restaurants, tapas bars, and a large municipal market. Our room was well appointed, clean and very comfortable. The housekeeping service was efficient. Adjacent to the lobby is an area where beverages, snacks, fruits and sandwiches are provided to guests on a daily basis after 11 a.m. courtesy of the hotel. The hotel also offers a breakfast with a good menu selection and well prepared food. The most impressive aspect of the hotel is the consistently high level of courteous, friendly service provided by the front desk/concierge members of staff. We received first rate restaurant recommendations, superb guidance on selection of tours and local tourist attractions. Hotel Casa Camper will remain our go to hotel on our next visit to Barcelona.

Wonderful Barcelona!

This is the most ingenious hotel I have ever stayed in! Every detail was perfectly figured out for the traveler. We had the Garden king room which looked over the lovely planted wall as well as a separate sitting room across the hall for lounging and working. The beds, linens and pillows were excellent and the darkness of the bedroom room was perfect for sleeping in. Bathroom was spacious and well designed and overlooked the garden wall. So many amenities that is hard to list them all-robes, slippers, toiletries, gym and fluffy towels. The restaurant downstairs had great breakfast every morning and snacks during the day in the afternoon. However the best part of our stay was the roof top terrace which over looks the city with palms trees and parrots to watch while you sip on a beverage from the honesty bar. There is even an outdoor drench shower for hot days on the rooftop! The location is excellent near the Rambla but in a much quieter part of town. Lots of restaurants, shops and markets-easy walk to the Barcelona cathedral!

Happy Campers 💗

Staff was wonderful, helpful with recommendations. Spacious room and bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. Very quiet and dark, perfect for sleeping. Breakfast was great, many choices. Snacks and beverages available were perfect after a day walking about. The portable wifi was unexpected and great for access while touring the city. A fantastic stay, we will be back!

Wonderful oasis

It's sometimes hard to believe in all the glowing TripAdvisor reviews--and sometimes they are off the mark. In this case, Casa Camper was indeed a winner! We stayed two nights before our cruise in a corner suite and were escorted to B46 upon arrival. It was spacious, comfortable, mostly quiet, with small balconies, lots of nice hooks and storage, a great shower and fabulous towels, cute little slippers. We were delighted by the amazing complimentary selection of drinks and snacks, which we had for our dinner the first night after long flights. Juices, sodas, soups, salads, desserts, candies, fruit, coffees (and leftover croissants from breakfast). Wow. The rooftop deck was sweet, with a variety of seating, and free drinks as well as an honor bar for alcohol. The location is two blocks from La Rambla (note: taxis will balk but you can drive to the hotel), with security doors into the lobby. While very well insulated, there is some street noise at night, especially on the weekends. Don't be taken aback if your email communications are curt; the welcome of Casa Camper will win you over. FYI: Camper is a brand of shoe and you can get a discount on a purchase!

Loved our stay and the staff!! But the room furniture needs attention.

The hotel is wonderful. It is a quirky hotel in Raval neighborhood near La Rambla. The location is excellent - easy walk to the waterfront, Gothic quarter, Born quarter, and Eixample. Easy walk to the Picasso museum and Barcelona cathedral. We also walked to the Miro museum, Park Guell, and La Sagrada Familia (these are 45-60 minute walks). The area has many wonderful restaurants, including 2 that are 1 minute away and associated with the Camper brand (Dos Pebrots and Dos Palillos). The hotel has a modern design in all areas. The guest room has a modern industrial chic design. Clothing is placed on shelves as there is no dresser. There is a recessed space to hang some clothing. There are rolling warehouse style doors separating the lounge and bedroom, and another between the bedroom and bathroom. One wall has approximately 20 metal pegs along its length to hang items. There is a rooftop terrace that is delightful. In the morning the rooftop terrace offers coffee, tea, fruit and croissants free of charge (see my suggestion to management below). Another option is breakfast in the lobby for 25 euros/person. After breakfast the lobby canteen is stocked with sandwiches, croissants, fruit, small salads and sweets, non-alcoholic drinks - all of which are free or charge. In the evening the rooftop terrace provides is a very well-stocked honesty bar (check off what you served yourself and it gets charged to the room). There is a basement bar area with 2 pool tables, large screen TV, and a bartender (open certain days of the week). The staff is amazing! Special shout out to Emelio and Shantal!! We had a Garden suite which has the lounge attached to the room (other rooms have a suite across the hallway from the bedroom). The mattress was firm and comfortable. The bathroom is roomy, modern and clean. The lounge has a futon-type couch, a side chair, and a hammock! The only negative is the furniture in the guest room (or, at least in our room). The futon couch is uncomfortable due to lack of back support; this could be remedied by additional or better pillows to lean back against. The sitting chair is horrible - the seat does not cushion your bottom at all! You can feel the wood frame cutting off circulation in your hamstrings. Definitely needs to be replaced. I hope management sees this! One amenity we found lacking relates to breakfast on the rooftop terrace. I think guests would appreciate having single serving pads of butter and jam to put on the croissants (well, at least one customer would!). We wouldn't hestitate to stay here again!

Perfect Quiet Spot in a Busy City.

Casa Camper is a great boutique hotel in the center of Barcelona with exceptional service. For being in the middle of a large city, it was amazing how quite the rooms were all day long and night long. The afternoon and evening snacks were generous enough to make a meal and the upper floor terrace was a lovely place to enjoy a glass of Cava at the end of the day. Thank you to all the staff at Casa Camper who made our stay fabulous! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique hotel experience. You won't regret it!

Fantastic stay in Barcelona

What a great place to stay. The reception staff are terribly helpful and polite. Arranged airport transfers and adjusted when airline changed flight times. Rooms were clean, large and well kept. The breakfast was ample and delicious. Snacks set out all day were tasty. Made lunch a couple of times with the snacks. The rooftop terrace was a fantastic place to have a glass of wine from the honor bar and soak in Barcelona. The location was perfect for exploring Barcelona. Thrilled we found this hotel!

A gem of a hotel in Raval!

I can't rave enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Casa Camper Hotel. From the moment we entered the hotel and were greeted by your friendly and knowledgeable staff, everything was perfect. The room was lovely. The bed and linens were so comfortable! The breakfast was outstanding. I was pleasantly surprised to find a selection of milk option for my cafe con leche and healthy and nutritious breakfast choices! The tentempie room was such a treat. It was wonderful to return from sightseeing late afternoon and have a little snack and relax a bit. We thought the location was great - near the metro, walkable to many sights. If I return to Barcelona in the future, I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else!!!!

Great stay at Casa Camper

We loved our stay, the location and staff were incredible. We loved the free snacks, coffee and soft drinks and the rooftop terrace was a great way to relax. Room was very nice. The best of all was the free wifi toggle that made navigating around Barcelona so easy

Fun and comfy hotel with great staff in a great part of Barcelona

Went to Barcelona in December 2024 with my wife and mother-in-law. We had two rooms. Each room has a bedroom and a living room area across the hall. The living room has a window with a view, a hammock, a sofa, a chair and a coffee table and a TV. The bedroom had a king bed with a really fun bathroom area; the sink area overlooks a brick wall with rows of plants; nobody can see in. The hotel has snacks (including sandwiches), coffee, water, and soft drinks available after breakfast is over for free, with a great sitting area. The hotel is modern and comfortable and quirky. The staff is spectacular! Highly recommend!

Loved it

Amazing place full of high service , i lioed everything there starting from check in to check out, inloved the food, the beach the pool , the room abd the staff, the staff is so friendly and gmgeloful, full if energy and very active, sure will be back

Not quite as good as the other reviews say. Or maybe it’s just because we are English.

Positives: the rooms is huge! And clean. There are nice little touches like the slippers, robes and toiletries - shower gel, shampoo, handwash, conditioner and body lotion. The complimentary snacks and drinks are great. However, the prices at the honestly bar are quite ridiculous. Be aware the bar with the pool table is only open on certain days. Not so positives: Staff not so friendly - I emailed twice before our stay asking for help with restaurant recommendations - particularly as we arrived on Christmas Eve and we weren’t sure what would be open. On both occasions the response was poor. The email wasn’t replied to with any care or even responding to the actual questions asked. Breakfast staff were quite stroppy. Breakfast is served until 11:30 but everything was cleared away by 11:15 and I got an abrupt response when I asked for another coffee. The sofa bed in the room is creaky. Tbh for what we paid I think there are better places to stay. This place felt cold and impersonal.
